Moorcroft 2008 Models
It is rare for a
Moorcroft design to mutate into a three-dimensional model. For 2008, only two
designs had the right attributes. They are Swaledale and Fleur-de-Luce.
Fleur-de-Luce will appeal to those with an intuitive understanding of art,
imagination and infinity, whilst Swaledale will be seen as attractive to those
who care for tradition and the familiar sights and sounds of everyday life.
Swaledale
A
Swaledale border collie lies alertly on the ground looking warily at
its charge for the day, a sturdy Swaledale sheep. Robert Tabbenor
has worked his magic on Philip's design creation. Small details on
the model are easily overlooked including the branch and leaves of
the oak tree, seen as many of the hallmark of the original Swaledale
design and which has caused the range
to be one of the most sought after in recent years.
Height - 14.5cm/6"
Fleur-de-Luce
The name
Fleur-de-Luce means 'Iris' in old French. Emma Bossons FRSA has created a real
design in every sense of the word. Simple imagery creating maximum effect - an
iris and long-tailed birds all dressed in glorious, rich colours. Rob
Tabbenor's model of Fleur-de-Luce brings the design to life. The original
colours that make the design so popular, faithfully reappear on the model.
Indeed, the Fleur-de-Luce model is a joyous collaboration between modeller and
designer, and one to be savoured like good wine.
Both Swaledale and Fleur-de-Luce are companion models to the designs that inspired them in the first place. Colours are harmonious and line work passes effortlessly from one to the other. The 2008 Models of Distinction are time limited in their production and it is highly recommended that interest is received before the 31st July should you require further information, or wish to purchase either model.
