One of Elizabeth’s distinctive skills is the way she captures the enchantment of children’s stories, rhymes and tales in her designs . And for this fabulous collection Elizabeth has been inspired by Russian Folk Art; by traditional lacquer boxes with their striking black grounds and fantasy illustrations and by the nation’s age-old stories handed down through the generations. ![]() The result is a captivating trilogy - three covered boxes on the new Great Whitley shape. Through her beautiful paintings, both inside and outside of each box, Elizabeth creates a story for collectors to discover at their leisure. All Elliot Hall Enamel shapes are named after the towns and villages in Worcestershire. Great Whitley is in the North West of the county and is home to Britain’s finest baroque church famed for its stunning painted and gilded plasterwork and stained glass windows.
