In celebration of Charles Darwin’s anniversaries this year, Peter’s detailed painting of the Beagle is a tribute to two passions; first to Darwin’s fervour for scientific investigation and discovery and secondly to Peter’s own long standing interest in nautical history. And, the enamel is given even more significance because this will be the third and final time this particular paperweight shape will be used.
